“The Cheers provided exactly what we were looking for from our wedding band. We were attracted to their option of having up to three singers present and really varied repertoire. This meant that energy was really strong throughout, the increased size of the band adding to the sense of occasion and spectacle. The variety of tracks from disco, classics, rock and pop meant that there was something for everyone throughout the set. The band's experience and expertise meant that genres flowed seamlessly from one to the other. The Cheers were also very flexible both in advance of the performance and on the night. They were happy to accommodate requests for new songs in the repertoire beforehand and were also very patient as the day ran behind schedule, pushing back their start time.”

“The Cheers were absolutely incredible. We had them at our wedding at Old Greens Barn in Newdigate and they just sounded amazing. They got everyone of all ages up on their feet and i think some of our guests didn’t stop the whole time. The vocalist were brilliant and we were really amazed at how many comments we had from our guests about how superb the band was. I highly recommend going for the quintet set up so you get a mix of male and female vocals. The band has a great repertoire to choose from that appeals to all ages and they put together the most perfect set list of all our favourite songs and some other greats too. Ben the band manager was faultless, from start to finish he was just amazing. So easy to speak to and communicate with, he really was a dream. It is so nice to have a supplier that knows what they are doing, can be trusted and is just so effortless. We cannot rate him enough. “We saw The Cheers perform at our friend’s wedding and noticed how they had everyone on the dance floor having a good time, they had an excellent repertoire and stood out among all the weddings we attended that year (6 in total).
Getting in contact, a quote and the contracts all sorted was a breeze, with no hidden fees. They were honest and upfront about what the costs would be, and in the end, they were extremely good.

Ben was incredible in the run up, super organised and responsive. He really went out of his way to be accommodating and gave us such peace of mind knowing it was all in safe hands.

On the day they were fantastic. Many of our friends and family told us how much they loved the evening. The Cheers had everyone up on their feet and made the it a real party we wouldn’t forget!

“Cheers Band were absolutely incredible. They offer different numbers of band members to cater to different styles (trio, quintet etc...) and the whole booking process was quick and simplistic. They also provide a clear list of songs that they have in their repertoire, with the option to specifically include/exclude favourites on the night. Their performance on the day itself was fantastic. They have great energy that encouraged many people to be on the dancefloor to enjoy the evening right until the end. They also handled our father/daughter and first dances very well, introducing each one respectively. My wife and I would totally recommend. “We organised The Cheers to play at our wedding in September 2018, and it was one of the best decisions of the day. I think there are three reasons why I would recommend them:
1. The music is great – The Cheers played a selection of oldies and new music to cater to the tastes of all our guests. We had a lot of kids and they even played some things purposefully to get them on the dance floor with their parents – a lovely touch. They are very talented musicians (with credentials!) and made everything sound great in our venue, even though they only had a short time to sound-check. We received numerous compliments that the band were excellent. They learnt our first dance perfectly and performed it exactly how we wanted. Just fantastic.

2. They are very professional – Our speeches and breakfast overran by about 45 minutes, but the band were extremely accommodating and calm about the delay. They setup extremely quickly to get us back on track and they were thoroughly proficient in breaking down at the end. They brought all their own equipment and everything looked and sounded great.

3. They were very easy to work with – Even though we didn’t meet the band until the day of the wedding, they were extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. Our main point of contact was Ben (the band manager) who was charming, quick to respond to calls and messages and very helpful. Formal arrangements were quick and professional and the entire interaction went very smoothly.

Overall, the experience of hiring and hearing The Cheers was faultless. Thank you so much for rounding off our special day with fantastic entertainment.”

“We booked The Cheers band for our wedding reception after hearing them at a friends wedding a few years back. The atmosphere the band provides is electric and keeps your guests on the dance floor the entire night, which was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Ben Thornton, the band manager, is approachable and super helpful in accommodating all your requests no matter how difficult they may be. We asked to swap one of the Dj sets for some Greek music which was no trouble for them to do. On the night the band were happy even though our food had been delayed which sadly ate into their first set of playing time. The band took this in their stride and played so amazingly to get our guests up on the dance floor for all the remaining time we had left! Absolutely incredible and I would 100% recommend them and book them again”

We booked an acoustic duo set for our welcome drinks and the quartet band + saxophone for the evening! We were super keen to have a saxophone finish after seeing this at our friend’s wedding. It was a great addition and a fantastic way to end the night.
